Since 1986, we at Crime Concern have worked with Metalex, especially through our Neighbourhood Watch programme. Our first contact was when we were experiencing a rash of break ins through basement windows. After consultation with our office and Toronto Police, Metalex developed bars for the windows, with easy escape so no one would be trapped in a basement.
They have gone on to assist in other crime problems, such as different types of door and window security. There are many companies with window and door bars, and we cannot recommend specific companies. At the same time, we must admit that we have always found Tom Reimer and his staff very caring about satisfying community and individual needs.
